Karen Steenekamp is a life-long multimedia artist based in Louisville, Colorado. She developed a passion for oil painting as a way to express herself beyond the confines of the digital world and her graphic design career. Through her paintings, Karen aims to remind others to unplug and appreciate the beauty and gifts that nature provides. Her favorite works are impressionist-style paintings, characterized by thick, textured paint and brushstrokes inspired by the masters of impasto oil painting. Karen also has a passion for watercolor painting.
