Karen Steenekamp is a lifelong multimedia artist. Originally from Fairfield County, Connecticut, and later from Boulder County, Colorado, she now resides in the coastal area of Wilmington, North Carolina. Since the early 2000s, Karen has collaborated with businesses across the country, including startups, non-profits, and advertising agencies. Whether it's branding, logo design, package design, print design, or digital advertising, she helps businesses build and maintain recognition and trust, attracting a loyal following in today’s competitive marketplace. In addition to her commercial work, Karen is also a fine artist. She developed a passion for painting as a means of expressing herself beyond the digital realm. Through her artwork, Karen seeks to remind others to unplug and appreciate the beauty and gifts that nature offers. Her favorite style is impressionism, characterized by thick, textured paint and brushstrokes reminiscent of the masters of impasto oil painting.
